Floating Dock Systems - Durable Aluminum Boat Docks With Padded Bumpers & Stable Flotation

Floating Boat Dock Construction Materials and Methods

Aluminum Welded Frame

Our dock frames are manufactured with marine grade custom aluminum extrusions (Alloy-6005 Temper-T5 or Alloy-6061 Temper-T6). All aluminum joints are professionally MIG welded to ensure solid structural rigidity. We are confident in our workmanship so all welds are guaranteed for eight years. We offer a 4″ and 6″ custom extruded side stringer in our dock systems. All of our custom extrusions are a rectangular tube design. This is much stronger than an open channel design used by many dock manufacturers. Our high quality materials and workmanship will provide you with a corrosion and rust resistant frame. We are confident our dock will exceed your expectations and offer many years of trouble free service.

Floats

Lakeside Dock Sales uses the finest flotation available today. Flotation is a key aspect of a dock and its stability. At Lakeside Dock Sales we use the correct floats for the correct application. We will use larger floats on fingers of the dock where they are in open water. This gives customers a sense of security when walking on our dock. It also reduces the liability of having someone fall and get hurt. All of our flotation devices carry a 15 year warranty. Floats are regulation floats approved by the US Coast Guard and also meet the Corps of Engineers Regulation #36 CFR Part 327, absorption test and falling dart test. These floats have a nominal .150 nominal wall thickness and are rotational molded from virgin grade materials with UV inhibitors assuring long life. The polyethylene Shell is unaffected by saltwater, oil, gasoline and most chemicals. The floats are completely foam filled using a 1 to 1.5 density EPS. Floats are mounted and through bolted using stainless steel bolts and lock nuts. We stock most common float sizes.

Padding/Bumpers

One of the main purposes of a dock is to protect your boat. At lakeside Dock Sales we use a premium grade rub rail and 10″ corners. This gives your boat the best protection possible. Our padding profile is specifically designed to protect the boat from rubbing against the side as well as landing on top of the aluminum frame. We use 10″ corners to give you extra protection at the most likely point of impact. When the wind blows your boat a few feet of coarse this will help protect your boat.
